Irinotecan Fails to Boost Rectal Cancer Outcomes

Adding irinotecan to standard chemoradiotherapy for MRI-defined, locally advanced rectal cancer did not improve disease-free survival or pathologic complete response rates but increased toxicity, including diarrhea and neutropenia.
